Hugo Quinonez

Head Instructor

Pilates Reformer saved my hips. It made me more flexible, mobile, and an overall better athlete. I love that and I want to help others achieve that. If I can help them walk, sit, or live their lives without pain, that makes me happy.

About Hugo Quinonez

Hugo Quinonez is head instructor at Elite Pilates Reformer Studio in San Antonio, Texas. Elite Pilates has served the North Central San Antonio/Stone Oak area for over 7 years, two of which have included Hugo as an invaluable members of the instructing team.

Hugo never planned to be in the fitness industry, though his upbringing and love for Martial Arts led him here. As a young boy, Hugo saw his mother dart from fitness event to exercise class – teaching, learning, and inspiring the entire way. From a young age he showed unique ability in the practice of Martial Arts. He won competitions and gradually achieved black belt status in Taekwondo.

One day, he suffered a severe hip injury. Doctors suggested he end martial arts training and attend physical therapy. After achieving rapid, impressive results by attempting Pilates Reformer classes taught by his mom, Hugo became a lifelong fan. It was then that he understood, first hand, the positive results Pilates Reformer classes could have on people’s lives, young, old, moms, and athletes, alike.

Hugo has been a devoted Elite Pilates instructor for over two years. Members love his strict dedication to improvement and technical perfection. His workouts are tough, challenging, and results-oriented. There’s nothing like walking out of Elite Pilates knowing you’ve worked hard and feel more alive than ever. Hugo feels most fulfilled when he’s able to turn a member’s rough day into a happy, satisfied attitude. Through exercise, Hugo loves making a positive impact on people’s lives.

He teaches both Semi Private Classes as well as Private, goal oriented sessions. He enjoys martial arts training, his church community, and spending quality time with his family.
